Defensive Driving Class (Driver Improvement Program) Agreement

By registering for our 6-hour Defensive Driving Class, also known as the Driver Improvement Program, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

This program is fully licensed by the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) in accordance with Georgia Law Title 40-5-80 (DRIVER IMPROVEMENT ACT) and its adopted rules and regulations. All instructors are certified by the DDS, ensuring the highest quality of instruction.

CLASS RULES & REQUIREMENTS

To ensure a productive learning environment and compliance with DDS regulations, you agree to adhere to the following rules during your class sessions: 

Attendance & Punctuality:

• Attend all sessions while sober and free from illicit drugs.
• Log in on time; late entries are prohibited by DDS, and you cannot leave early.
• Actively participate and remain reasonably attentive throughout the class.
• Attend all scheduled class sessions unless medically excused. Please note: inability to connect due to technical issues is not an excusable absence.
• All sessions must be completed within 60 days of your registration.

Technology & Setup: 

• Ensure your device (computer, tablet, smartphone) has sufficient internet, power, and data to complete all course requirements.
• Download and test the appropriate platform (e.g., Zoom) and ensure you can access it before the start of the course.
• You must be visible on camera for all sessions. Your camera must show you, not a still photo, screenshot, ceiling view, etc. Audio-only participation is not acceptable. Appropriate dress is required (breaks excluded).
• Ensure your background is appropriate (e.g., no images of illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages, partially dressed individuals, or offensive items).
• Be in a seated position away from distractions. Lying in bed, working, shopping, cooking, babysitting, or talking to others during class are not permitted.
• Do not operate a motor vehicle while attending class.

Classroom Conduct:  

• Only registered students may attend the class. No children, roommates, or other individuals are permitted in view of the camera or within earshot. Exceptions may be made for documented accommodations for illiterate or disabled students.
• Mute your phone/microphone when not speaking to minimize background noise.
• Recording of sessions is strictly prohibited.
• Consumption of alcoholic beverages, vaping, or use of tobacco products during sessions is not allowed.

Class Exam and Evaluation:

At the end of the course, your instructor will administer a class exam and evaluation. DDS requires a passing score of 70% or higher on the exam to receive your certificate.

NO REFUND POLICY 

We do not issue refunds for classes. This Driver Improvement Program will not refund any tuition or part of tuition if the school is ready, willing, and able to fulfill its commitment to teaching the class. 

You understand that failure to comply with these terms and conditions constitutes a breach of contract. In such cases, this Driver Improvement Program is not obligated to fulfill the terms of this agreement and may, at its option, terminate this agreement immediately. 

DISCLAIMER: No Guarantee of License  

It is agreed that an owner, instructor, or employee of this Driver Improvement Program shall not give the impression to a student that upon completion of their instruction; this Driver Improvement Program will guarantee the securing of a driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle. However, upon the student’s successful completion of the course as described above, the Driver Improvement Program agrees to provide certification of said completion to the student by the next business day.

This agreement constitutes the contract between this Driver Improvement Program and the student and no verbal statements will be recognized.
