Great news for anyone needing to complete a Defensive Driving Class (Driver Improvement): The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) has fully approved the online version of the course!
This isn't a temporary fix; the online course holds the exact same weight and serves the identical purpose as any in-person class.
This class is 6-hours with plenty of breaks and a 1-hour lunch/dinner break. The course focuses on traffic law, rules of the road, driver safety, and how to manage risk. The fee for the class is $95, which is set and mandated by the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS). All licensed Driver Improvement Schools charged the same fee. Classes are available ONLINE or IN-PERSON.
